Early in the company’s history, MATCOR’s Chairman, William Schutt, became one of the world’s top recognized systems experts for corrosion engineering. Subsequently, the White House named Mr. Schutt one of the country’s foremost experts in the matter – setting MATCOR’s cathodic protection systems as the international standard for corrosion related projects.
MATCOR’s foundation was built on work with steel-in-concrete structures, protecting local Philadelphia, and eventually global landmarks. In the early years, we were best known as a materials supplier for corrosion prevention, mitigation and detection, but our company expanded its operations to meet the needs of governments and businesses facing the corrosion of various infrastructures.
To build on the company’s foundation, we have expanded our project scope, product applications and staff. We have won four patents for our novel corrosion prevention systems, and every project introduces new challenges that we meet head-on.
