Our cathodic protection company maintains a staff of highly qualified field engineers, technicians and construction and cathodic protection installation personnel.
These experienced impressed cathodic protection professionals are available to staff specific projects or for longer-term engagements as staff augmentation for our clients.
Our talent pool is a mix of NACE certified corrosion professional from CP Level 1 through to the advanced and highly prestigious CP Level 3. In addition, MATCOR employs non-certified personnel with varied experiences.
MATCOR's talent pool is OQ qualified, carry TWIC cards and meet DOT requirements for drug and alcohol testing.
Our talent pool is highly safety conscientious and participate in regular safety training and safety awareness programs both in-house and as administered by third party organizations.
Doug Fastuca, President
Mr. Fastuca joined MATCOR as President in June 2013. He is responsible for providing overall leadership and integration of MATCOR's cathodic protection company functions to achieve defined growth objectives. He has more than 25 years of experience in leadership roles in public and private companies and private investment partnerships.
He has extensive international manufacturing experience, most recently in the metal alloy and metal furnace engineering sectors. Prior to his operating roles, Mr. Fastuca spent several years in private equity investing, concentrating on middle market industrial companies in the US and Europe.
Mr. Fastuca earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and an BA in Economics from Bucknell University.
Glenn Shreffler, Executive Vice President
Mr. Shreffler has spent over 23 years with MATCOR focused solely on corrosion engineering and cathodic protection. In his career, he has developed a diverse, global portfolio designing and managing systems for LNG terminals, power plants, marine terminals, intake structures, reinforced concrete structures, wastewater and nuclear facilities for clients like Walt Disney, NASA and Exxon Mobil. In addition to his engineering responsibilities, he is a key member in the innovation and quality control of MATCOR’s products.
Mr. Shreffler is actively involved in several technical association committees including NACE, ASTM and ICRI and has been certified as a NACE Cathodic Protection Specialist since 1995.
Mr. Shreffler graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a BS in Electrical Engineering Technology.
Jeff Didas, Practice Lead (Pipelines, Pump Stations, Compressor Stations, Delivery Facilities, Tank Farms)
Mr. Didas, an industry expert, brings 38 years of diverse corrosion experience working for pipeline and energy company owner/operators. His expertise is sought after both nationally and internationally. An active and published member of NACE, Mr. Didas has held a variety of national positions including his current role as Treasurer and Chair of TEG 022X, TEG 208X and TG 012. He received the NACE Distinguished Service Award in 2001 for his many contributions to the organization.
Having achieved the highest level of NACE certification as a NACE International Corrosion Specialist, Mr. Didas also holds a number of other certifications including: Cathodic Protection Specialist, Coatings Specialist, Chemical Treatment Specialist, Senior Corrosion Technologist, Corrosion Technologist, Corrosion Technician and a Level 3 certified Corrosion Inspector as well as an SSPC Certified Protective Coatings Specialist.
Mr. Didas graduated from Thomas A. Edison State College in Trenton, NJ, with a BSET in Electrical Engineering. He acquired his ASEE in Electronics Technology from Springfield Technical Community College, Springfield MA.
