MATCOR's Cathodic Protection & Corrosion Leadership

Jeff Stello, President & CEO
Jeff StelloMr. Stello joined MATCOR as President & CEO in January 2010 and provides the overall leadership, vision and strategy to achieve the defined growth objectives.  Mr. Stello has more than 25 years in leadership roles in several successful public and private high-growth technology companies, where he developed and executed business strategies for a leading market position and maximization of shareholder value.

His experiences focus primarily on service and manufacturing business models that serve global enterprise organizations.  He has raised more than $250 million in debt and equity financing, and he has negotiated and integrated more than a dozen M&A transactions.

Mr. Stello has an MBA from the Villanova University School of Business and a B.S. in Business Administration from Bloomsburg University.  He has served on several public, private and non-profit boards and is actively involved in community activities, such as the Boy Scouts of America.

William R. Schutt - Chairman
William R. SchuttMr. Schutt is the founder and Chairman of MATCOR, Inc., Mr. Schutt is a Drexel University graduate, holder of four US patents with others pending.  He has been recognized by the US government as one of the top experts in infrastructure corrosion and was part of a White House delegation to the Soviet Union.  Mr. Schutt holds the highest engineering rating from NACE International and is a Fellow of the United Kingdom Corrosion Society. He published numerous technical papers and lectured in more than twenty-five countries.

Mr. Schutt has been featured for his business and technical achievements in TIME Magazine, New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, the Philadelphia Inquirer and many other publications, radio and television.  He has appeared on national radio and television including Good Morning America, Hannity & Colmes, MSNBC, FOX News, NBC, CBS and others.

Mr. Schutt spends much of his time with non-profit organizations and serves or has served on the board of several organizations.

Eileen Jacob – Vice President – Finance & Administration
Eileen JacobWith 25 years of experience as a financial leader in business and industry, Eileen Jacob holds responsibility for all aspects of MATCOR financial planning and administrative management.  In addition to her accounting responsibilities, Eileen oversees an administrative staff focused on safety, human resources and organizational development, information technology tools and programs, purchasing and vendor and facility management.

Prior to joining MATCOR in late 2004, Eileen was CFO & Controller at MEECO, Inc. & Tiger Optics, LLC, two related privately held companies servicing the gas and semi-conductor industries.  Previous positions include Director of Financial Services & PPX Controller for Amerigas Propane, a national propane distributor. In addition, Eileen was Plant Controller at Crown Vantage (James River Corp.), a paper manufacturer supplying the food and industrial printing industries.  During her tenure at Crown Vantage, Eileen participated on a project team with Kellogg’s at its Battle Creek facility, and she was involved with a research project with the U. S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing.  She held previous positions as V.P. & Controller at Mellon Bank (East) and was an Audit Manager with KPMG based in the Philadelphia office. 

A member of the Executive Management staff, Eileen manages a number of company events and charitable efforts.  Eileen volunteers her time and resources with Philadelphia-area non-profit organizations, including board membership for a grassroots community group based in Bucks County.

Glenn Shreffler – Executive Vice President
Glenn ShrefflerA career MATCOR employee, Glenn Shreffler started his long tenure with MATCOR shortly after graduating from Penn State University with a degree in electrical engineering.  Mr. Shreffler started as a junior-grade field engineer mapping anodic/cathodic regions in concrete structures, and has rapidly risen through the engineering and operations ranks to his current position as executive vice president.

Mr. Shreffler has traveled extensively in the Middle East and Asia and is the design genius behind many of our most successful and innovative projects ranging from power plant cathodic protection systems to concrete structures to process equipment.

Mr. Shreffler is actively involved in several Technical Association Committees including NACE, ASTM, IRCI and the ACI.

Ted Huck – VP International Sales
Ted HuckWith over 21 years of technical sales experience, Mr. Huck has been with MATCOR since January of 2002.  
 
He is a recognized expert in the application of Cathodic Protection, and has authored over a dozen articles in a wide range of publications, including Materials Performance, Pipeline and Gas Journal, Pipeline and Gas Technology, Power, Power Engineering, World Pipelines, Port Technology International, Water and Wastes Digest, Arab Water World.  He has also presented at multiple conferences in the United States and Internationally including conferences in Amsterdam, Moscow, Istanbul, Bahrain, Mumbai, Seoul, Beijing, Chengdu, and Calgary. 
 
Mr. Huck holds an MBA in Finance from Texas Christian University, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Kettering University (formerly General Motors Institute).
 
Mr. Huck has coached girls’ softball and boys’ baseball for over a decade, and he is an active supporter of the John Pancott Gymnastics Booster Club.

John Rothermel  VP Marketing & Domestic Sales
John RothermelMr. Rothermel joined MATCOR as Vice President of Marketing & Domestic Sales in June 2010.  Mr. Rothermel brings a wealth of expertise and experience, with almost 20 years of sales and marketing leadership, specifically in the areas of services and engineered products for the international energy, power, industrial and general construction markets.  

Mr. Rothermel has a proven track record in building, managing and leading customer-focused sales organizations that identify client needs and provide solutions that create long-term value. 

Mr. Rothermel is a registered Professional Engineer, with a MBA from the Villanova University School of Business, and also earned his Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Villanova University.

Chris SheldonChris Sheldon – Director of Engineering
Mr. Sheldon brings more than 25 years of engineering experience to MATCOR, with the last 15 years focused on corrosion engineering.

Mr. Sheldon’s career has focused primarily in the utilities sector, as a corrosion engineer and supervisor, and has completed Cathodic Protection designs for underground gas, electric and generation facilities.  Mr. Sheldon has co-authored a white paper on AC Mitigation and directed field crews in detailed CP Installations and diagnostics.

Mr. Sheldon holds a NACE CP Specialist and a Coating Inspector Level 1 Certification.  He is a Professional Engineer, licensed in the state of New York, and a graduate of Penn State University with a B.S. in Structural Design and Engineering Technology.

Knut Fenner – Senior Director Business Development
Knut FennerMr. Fenner joined Matcor in March 2012 as Senior Director, Business Development with focus on the development of new business opportunities for Matcor across geographies, markets, products, solutions and partners.

Mr. Fenner has extensive experience in international business management and business development. His industry expertise spans several technology fields including medical device, consumer electronics, lighting controls and energy with companies such as Siemens Medical, Sony Electronics, Motorola and Lutron Electronics. He has deep international experience across North America, Europe, the Middle East, India and Asia. In addition, Mr. Fenner has a long background in product design and development where he holds 25 design and utility patents.

Mr. Fenner has an Executive MBA from the Rutgers Business School and a BA in Industrial Design from Germany. He is actively involved in the local community and volunteers his time with GPSEG, a Philadelphia based non-profit organization where he chairs their medical device sub-chapter.

Nick Judd – Corrosion Engineer Manager
Nick JuddMr. Judd is an established Cathodic Protection professional with more than 11 years of installation, maintenance, design, and Project Management experience.

Prior to joining MATCOR, Mr. Judd has worked at a variety of service companies, where, during the course of his career was challenged with many domestic and international projects.  He has worked in tandem with many operators such as Chevron, Shell, Enterprise, Atmos, Boardwalk Partners, as well as coordinated efforts with many municipalities such as COH, COA, COD, NHCMWD, HCMWD, SAWS.

Mr. Judd is an active member of the NACE and holds a certification as Cathodic Protection Technologist CP III.

Mr. Judd attended Texas Tech University studying Architecture and Civil Engineering.

Jeff Didas – Senior Corrosion Engineer

Mr. Didas brings 38 yearsí experience in the corrosion industry, working for pipeline and energy company owner/operators.  Mr. Didas is certificated as a NACE International Corrosion Specialist, Cathodic Protection Specialist, Coatings Specialist, Chemical Treatment Specialist, Senior Corrosion Technologist, Corrosion Technologist, Corrosion Technician and a Level 3 certified Corrosion Inspector as well as an SSPC Certified Protective Coatings Specialist.

Mr. Didas attended Thomas A. Edison State College in Trenton, NJ, where he received his BSET in electrical engineering. He acquired his ASEE in Electronics Technology from Springfield Technical Community College, Springfield

Carlos Fuentes – Plant Manager
Carlos FuentesMr. Fuentes has been on staff with the MATCOR organization for more than 19 years. He has specialized in the manufacturing process and is has managed the production department at MATCOR for more than 6 years.

Mr. Fuentes has worked with MATCOR’s engineering department for several years as a Corrosion Technician and Cathodic Protection (CP) Senior Field Technician. Mr. Fuentes has covered many CP installations projects. His role as an onsite supervisor has assured proper anode installations for many of MATCOR’s valued customers. His experience in the CP industry has allowed MATCOR to utilize his skills on numerous projects throughout the World.

As a member of the safety committee for over 10 years, Mr. Fuentes is proud to be part of a committee responsible for helping MATCOR achieve an excellent safety record with close to six years without a lost time accident/incident. Mr. Fuentes holds several safety certifications; these include the OSHA 10-hour safety course, confined space certification, CFR 49 HAZMAT shipping certification, along with CPR, first aid, and AED certifications.

Mr. Fuentes attended Moravian College in Bethlehem Pennsylvania for Operational Business Management.

Chad Oliver – Director of Client Services
Chad OliverMr. Oliver is a seasoned operations professional with over 16 years of management experience in a variety of large and small business environments.  He has achieved consistent success in building and leading high-energy project execution teams.  Mr. Oliver has an extensive background in project and business management, promoting and implementing process improvements and services to multiple industries globally.

Prior to MATCOR, Mr. Oliver was the owner of a business focused on assisting companies on project management, process improvement and operational organization.

Preceding that, Mr. Oliver worked in a variety of companies and industries in developing and leading highly-skilled, customer-focused, cross-functional teams in day-to-day operations.

Mr. Oliver attended Drexel University and is a Six Sigma Green Belt with a Lean/DFSS certification.

Trevor Eade – Director, Marketing/Communications
Trevor EadeMr. Eade is a seasoned marketing communications professional with more than 17 years of marketing, and corporate communications experience.

Prior to joining MATCOR, Mr. Eade has worked at a variety of B2B companies, including NACE International, the Corrosion Society; where, during the course of his career was presented with seven prestigious Crystal Awards from the American Marketing Association.  Two of the Crystal Awards were received for the management and re-branding of the society worldwide.

Preceding NACE International Mr. Eade held marketing/communication management positions with various media organizations throughout the UK.

Mr. Eade is an active member of the American Marketing Association and held the position of Vice-President of Programming for the Houston Chapter from 2005-2006. Mr. Eade also participates in the acclaimed Chief Marketing Officer Roundtable.

Rebecca Haring – Safety & Compliance Manager
Rebecca Haring

Ms. Haring joined MATCOR in 2003 and has been responsible for the company’s safety program since 2008.

Ms. Haring actively seeks to keep her safety and compliance knowledge current by studying industry-related safety topics through the University of South Florida – OSHA Training Institute, the Texas Engineering Extension and the Risk Management Institute among others.  She is current with OSHA 30-hour training for General Industry, OSHA 30-hour training for Construction,

She actively participates in the American Society of Safety Engineers and the National Safety Council.

Ms. Haring earned her BS in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and is now pursuing her 48-Hour OSH Manager Certificate.
