NFPA 54: National Fuel Gas Code

National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 54, ANSI Z223.1 provides minimum safety requirements for the design and installation of fuel gas piping systems in homes and other buildings.

Chapter 7 of the code addresses corrosion protection of piping, sacrificial anodes, cathodic protection systems, impressed current cathodic protection systems and monitoring of these systems for corrosion prevention.
