AC Interference Mitigation

MATCOR technicians visit your site to collect the electrical transmission, pipeline, and soil resistivity data needed to evaluate fault current and induced AC corrosion risks and identify safety hazards per the latest NACE and industry standards. This field data feeds MATCOR’s AC modeling process, supporting effective AC mitigation system design.

AC Mitigation Grounding Installation

Grounding systems are a critical component of many AC mitigation systems. MATCOR installs AC mitigation grounding systems designed to safely dissipate induced AC current and help protect both personnel and pipeline infrastructure.

AC Modeling

AC interference modeling uses sophisticated software to analyze safety and corrosion risks — step-touch potential, induced AC, and shorted or fault conditions — for pipelines sharing right-of-way with overhead electrical transmission lines. MATCOR provides field data collection and complete AC modeling and analysis to determine interference risks and design the right AC mitigation system.

Durammo Deep Anode System

Durammo® is MATCOR’s factory-assembled, ready-to-install deep anode system for cathodic protection of pipelines, wells, and buried infrastructure. Nearly 10,000 systems have logged over 200 million hours, featuring MMO anodes, patented Kynex® connections, and Kynar® cables.

The MITIGATOR

The MITIGATOR® is the industry’s only engineered AC mitigation system to combat the corrosive effects of alternating current (AC) on pipelines, combining performance with greater ease of installation and lower cost. Providing superior performance over bare copper and zinc for AC grounding and mitigation, this system is based on MATCOR’s SPL™-Anode manufacturing technology. It is a packaged grounding system that combines the best of copper grounding with low resistance, corrosion-inhibiting backfill.

AC DC Coupon Test Stations

Where AC corrosion is a threat, monitoring must shift from polarization measurements to current density measurements—and that requires coupon test stations. MATCOR supplies AC/DC coupon test stations with dedicated AC and DC current density coupons, ensuring localized conditions don’t create AC corrosion risk that standard test stations can’t detect.

Cathodic Protection Rectifiers

MATCOR rectifiers come standard with features that are only available as options on some competing rectifiers. Every part of a MATCOR rectifier is covered by our two-year guarantee, and the transformer comes with an industry leading five-year warranty.
