New Drilling Trucks!

MATCOR has added three new drilling trucks to its equipment fleet to support cathodic protection installation in the mid-continent and Gulf regions. The trucks feature upgraded rotary speed and torque controls, satellite maintenance tracking, and improved operator safety platforms.

MATCOR Ships Over a Half Million Feet of Linear Anodes to Africa

MATCOR shipped more than 500,000 linear feet of its SPL-FBR linear anode product for 153 above ground storage tanks at the Dangote refinery project in Lagos, Nigeria. MATCOR was selected for its rapid manufacturing capability and a no-field-splice anode design that reduces installation time and cost.

Tank Anode Systems for the Richest Man in Africa

MATCOR supplied tank anode systems for the $12 billion Dangote oil refinery project in Nigeria, which includes 153 above ground storage tanks on 6,180 acres outside Lagos. Engineer’s India Limited selected MATCOR’s impressed current linear anode technology as the design basis for tank bottom cathodic protection.

Matcor Earns Patent for Iron Gopher® Linear Anode

MATCOR earned a design patent for its Iron Gopher® linear anode, the only linear anode designed for horizontal directional drilling. Featuring a braided stainless steel jacket and built-in pulling loop, the Iron Gopher provides approximately 200 percent more pulling strength than conventional HDD anodes.

In January 2018, BrandSafway formed the Integrity Services Group, combining MATCOR’s cathodic protection services with LDAR and industrial specialty services. The group was created following the 2017 merger of Brand Energy and Infrastructure Services with Safway Group to form BrandSafway.
