The PHMSA Gas Transmission Final Rule, aka the Mega Rule, has a tremendous impact on the US pipeline industry, adding significant scope to the current pipeline integrity management requirements.

CFR Title 49 – Corrosion Related Federal Regulations
These federal regulations address the transportation of hazardous liquids, natural and other gas by pipeline.

US EPA Office of Underground Storage Tanks (USTs)
In mid-80s the EPA was granted authority to regulate USTs, which includes preventing corrosion leading to environmental leaks.

NFPA 54: National Fuel Gas Code
NFPA 54 is the safety benchmark for fuel gas installations, providing industry-accepted guidance for safe installation and operation of fuel gas piping systems, equipment, and more.
